• My expertise is building or improving ISO 9000 certified or compliant quality systems. Done right a Quality Manual can almost put the quality aspect of the business on auto pilot meaning that all quality processes and position responsibilities are defined and being followed. I believe in interactive problem solving teams.
• In my six years as Manager/Facilitator of Corporate Quality Improvement, I learned how through facilitation and training to transform a company to an environment of continuous improvement. Developed a Corporate Quality Plan based on the responses to my worldwide questionnaire and implemented the plan to recognize continuous improvement around the world. Each site had a continuous improvement coordinator and we gathered every two years to assess to implement successful strategies.
• I have audited quality system procedures, in-process, final test, and receiving inspections. As a site lead auditor I have issued corrective action, and audited process improvements that closed open CARs and analyzed quality trends.

Contract Quality System and ISO 9000 Auditor conducting Supplier Quality System Audits as needed. The last couple years, I have been auditing suppliers of medical products to the checklists provided by SQA’s clients. Most suppliers were local, others were as far away as New York.

PLANTRONICS, Santa Cruz, CA 1999-2000

Consultant/Technical Writer. Responsible for the writing, coordination, and production of User Guides for Plantronics main line of headsets; in English and six other languages.

Consultant/Technical Writer. Rewrote the entire Plantronics Quality System Procedures to meet ISO 9000 standards in six months. Project completed, site re-certified based on the successful results of this project.

· Reduced two hundred and seventy one Quality System procedures down to about 30 main Quality System Procedures and about 50 work instructions.

QUANTUM CORPORATION, Milpitas, CA 1997-1998

Contract Position: Kelly Technical: Quality System Auditor/Engineer reporting to the Process Engineering Quality Systems Site Management. Responsible for carrying out the Internal ISO 9000 Audit Plan by auditing and training ‘hands-on’ other internal auditors as required. Also did site audits in Massachusetts and Colorado Springs. Position was for four months extended to nine months.

Responsible for initiating and developing a continuous improvement environment at Seagate worldwide

Manager/Facilitator, Corporate Quality Improvement Responsible for overall corporate quality improvement efforts such as ISO 9000 site certifications and worldwide “Continuous Improvement” efforts as well as site implementation of same.

· Created, developed and conducted an interactive Internal Auditor Training Course.

· Facilitated a Focused Brainstorming Session on developing metrics for the Corporate Quality Policy with 25 worldwide quality directors and quality vice presidents. These metrics provided targets for each site’s continuous improvement efforts.

· Formed a worldwide council of Continuous Improvement Coordinators who met bi-annually to brainstorm future improvement strategies.

· Conducted over 15 Continuous Improvement Acknowledgement Lunches and award presentations.

· Contributed to making Continuous Improvement a corporate value. Confirmed by the founder then president and CEO Al Shugart in the Keep It Simple corporate newspaper

· Was selected and trained as a California Quality Award Examiner in 1995 based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria.
